What are the Maximum Drawdown limits?

Updated over a week ago

The Maximum Drawdown in FundingEra is static, calculated directly from the initial account balance.

It does not move or trail with equity changes, your limit stays fixed throughout the entire challenge or funded phase.

Examples:

  • 2-Step Era (10% Max Drawdown)
    • Starting Balance: $100,000
    • Maximum Drawdown: $10,000
    • Your account must never fall below $90,000, regardless of profit made.

  • 2-Step Era Pro (6% Max Drawdown)
    • Starting Balance: $100,000
    • Maximum Drawdown: $6,000
    • Your account must never fall below $94,000.

This means that even if your balance grows to $110,000, your drawdown limit remains the same, the threshold is always calculated from your initial starting balance.

⚖️ Simple rule: your account can never drop below its allowed drawdown level, regardless of how high your balance has previously gone.
